MarketReader

MarketReader is a market intelligence platform that provides live, AI-generated analysis of unusual market activity. When an asset experiences an abnormal price movement, volume spike, or shift in volatility, MarketReader identifies the likely drivers behind that move and explains what it means in context.

The platform continuously monitors financial news sources, economic data releases, and cross-asset market behavior. When unusual activity is detected, MarketReader uses discrete decision trees and correlation analysis to determine which events are relevant to a given move, mirroring the process an experienced trader would follow when working through a sudden change in price action. News, economic releases, and cross-asset relationships are evaluated for causal relevance before any narrative is generated. Large language models are used only in the final step: once the relevant data has been gathered and scored, the LLM synthesizes it into a clear, readable summary. This approach keeps the analytical logic transparent and deterministic, with AI handling the writing rather than the reasoning.

MarketReader covers U.S. equities and global macroeconomic themes, with commentary updating continuously throughout the trading day as market conditions evolve.

The MarketReader API provides a websocket stream of insights as they’re published (updated throughout the day) as well as REST endpoints to query what happened in the past to bring clear insight to your charts. The API is also a powerful repository of knowledge for Financial Chat Bots that want to be able to answer client questions with real time knowledge of what is happening within historical context.

Offering: The API is divided by asset type.

  • US Equities Stream: covers all listed US Stocks/ETFs/ADRs with 12,000 assets in the universe and about 6,000 assets written about each day.
